In line with a constructive critical approach to heritage, the conference aims to develop an interdisciplinary theoretical discussion to look at practices of cultural heritage as practices of cultural production and to investigate how processes of valorisation create new cultural forms by displaying and “playing” with objects, places and performances. “Playing” refers to the many practices, which activate and reactivate relationships between people, things and spaces, entailing conflicts and disputes too.
