Sophie Elaine Wolf

Dott.ssa Sophie Elaine Wolf (1986) studied art and architectural history in Dresden, Milan and Pisa (Università di Pisa & Scuola Normale Superiore). From 2013 to 2018, she was a research assistant at the Institute for Architectural Theory and History, Department of Architectural History and Monument Conservation at the University of Innsbruck. From 2018 to 2023, she conducted research as part of the project "Die Appropriationsstrategien Italiens in Südtirol und dem Trentino nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg" at the Department of Architectural History and Monument Conservation at the University of Innsbruck. She has taken part in numerous international conferences and workshops and publishes in German, Italian and English. Her dissertation deals with the transfer of knowledge in the architectural theory of the Italian Renaissance. She currently researches the themes of architecture and identity in border areas (South Tyrol/Alto Adige) and the immaterial qualities of architecture as a medium of cultural identity.
